Information we collect
When you call, email or submit an enquiry, we receive the information you provide, which can include your name, telephone number, postcode, property or job address, requested service and message. We may keep booking details, job records, correspondence and invoices when work is arranged. Please do not send identity documents, payment-card details or security codes through the website form.
Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical information such as IP addresses, request times, browser information and security or error logs when serving the website. Optional Vercel Web Analytics runs only if you allow analytics in our cookie choices. It helps us understand page visits and technical information such as browser/device type, referring site and approximate region. Vercel processes request information to produce these statistics. We do not send form fields or custom enquiry events to analytics, and we strip query strings and URL fragments from analytics page URLs. The site includes no advertising trackers.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
- Enquiries, quotations, bookings and work: to take steps at your request before entering a contract and to perform that contract.
- Accounts and required records: to meet applicable tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
- Optional website analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using “Cookie choices” in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
- Security, correspondence and resolving disputes: our legitimate interests in running a secure service, responding to customers and protecting legal rights, balanced against your rights.
We do not use the enquiry form to enrol you in marketing. We do not sell your personal information or make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Contact forms and service providers
Before an enquiry can be sent you must tick a box confirming you have read this notice. The box is never pre-ticked and the form will not submit without it. It records that you were told how your details would be used; the lawful basis for handling an enquiry is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, not consent, so ticking it does not sign you up to anything and there is no marketing list to leave. After submitting you are returned to a thank-you page on this website.
Our forms submit directly to FormSubmit, which processes the fields you enter and delivers the enquiry to our email inbox. Your email provider and ours also process correspondence. Vercel hosts the site. Information may also be shared with professional advisers or authorities where needed for legal obligations or claims. We limit sharing to what is needed for the relevant purpose.
See FormSubmit’s privacy notice, Vercel’s privacy notice and Microsoft’s privacy statement for information about their processing. Opening links to Google reviews takes you to Google, which applies its own privacy and cookie practices.
International processing
Hosting, form and email providers may process information outside the UK. The applicable locations and transfer arrangements depend on the provider. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry; the providers’ notices explain their international processing. We must ensure that any restricted transfers for which we are responsible have the safeguards required by UK data protection law.
How long information is kept
Enquiries and correspondence are kept only for as long as needed to respond, arrange work or deal with follow-up questions and disputes. Job, invoice and accounting records may need to be retained longer to meet legal requirements or establish, exercise or defend claims. The period depends on the record and applicable obligation. We review information and delete it when it is no longer needed. Contact us to ask about a particular record. Analytics statistics are retained under the Vercel project’s applicable retention settings. Withdrawing analytics permission stops future collection; it does not delete statistics already collected.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure or restriction of your information, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and request data portability where it applies. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some records may need to be retained despite a request.
Contact us using the details above. We normally respond within one month; we may need to confirm your identity or explain a lawful extension for a complex request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Browser storage and updates
